WAIVER

All participants must sign a waiver form in order to attend classes. All players under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian prior to using the facilities. ALL WAIVERS MUST BE DONE IN PERSON AT BATTLE LAB/SIDE QUEST SPORTS and the signing adult, for both themselves or any minors must have a valid Driver's License or government state issued ID present at check in. A picture of the participant will be taken at first time check in and will be added to their waiver profile page with Battle Lab & Side Quest Sports.

SMOKING/VAPING/DRUGS/ALCOHOL

Please note, any notice of smoking, vaping use of drugs or alcohol within the building will result in a ban. All smoking and vaping are allowed outside the gate in the parking lot. Please do not smoke within the parking lot. Should we smell or suspect drug use, the customer(s) will be asked to leave. 

AGE REQUIREMENT - SOFT ARMOR FIGHTING

All players must be 6 years old or older. Please note that armored combat is an extreme sport that can cause minor pain or skin abrasions on impact. There may be loud noises, dimly lit areas, and large crowds. Please evaluate your individual child or self to make sure this is a suitable environment for them/you regardless of age.

BULLYING

We have a zero tolerance on bullying. Any intentional name calling, intimidation, posturing, or harassment will result in your immediate expulsion from our facility, without refund. In the event of an issue please inform a Side Quest Sports team member or Marshall for them to handle the situation.

Shoes & Clothing

Closed toed shoes are required while not on Judo Mats. Any shoe with a heel, platform, open toe or open heel will not be allowed during training. (ex; sandals, wedges, high heels, platform sneakers, crocs etc.)  

Clothing that covers the skin protects further while participating. While pants are not required, they do offer the best protection and are highly recommended. Shorts worn must be long enough to cover majority of the thigh and any dresses/skirts worn must have full coverage underneath to at least middle of the thigh as well. Shirts must cover the chest and back area fully.

Protective Groin protection is highly recommended.

VANDALISM

Any intentional destruction or defacement of any area in the facility will result in immediate expulsion from the facility, without refund, and will result in charges for repair or a police report of vandalism.

COMBAT RULES

Helmets must be worn for any fighting discipline aside from LARP. 

Gloves/Gauntlets must be worn for any fighting discipline aside from LARP.

Must have close toed shoes. Long sleeve shirts and pants highly recommended.

Use the honor code; call your hits and take a knee when down. Cheating will not be tolerated!

If a door is closed, it is not in play. NO kicking doors, walls or climbing on structures.

No arguing or yelling in facility. Talk to a Marshall if you have issues.

No arguing with Marshalls. Marshalls have the final say.

No foul language – this is a family friendly facility.

Follow individual game play rules as described by the Marshall before each game.

Return your rental helmet, gauntlet, swords and shields prior to leaving the facility.

NO personal music devices playing any music is allowed in staging area or arena. 

STEEL COMBAT RULES

Age Requirement: 18+

We follow Buhurt international rules and regulations for steel combat play.

Any steel participant must familiarize and abide by the newest applied rules and regulations from the Buhurt International website.

FIREARMS

NO real firearms or live ammunition are allowed anywhere on the property or in the facility. This is for your own safety and the safety of those around you.
